Meet the Doctor

Dr. Alan Montgomery

Dr. Montgomery grew up in Hillsdale, Michigan graduating Hillsdale High School in 1960 and Hillsdale College in 1964.  He then went on to the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, graduating in 1969.  He taught at the Illinois College of Optometry, with an emphasis in pediatric optometry and contact lenses.  In 1974 he moved back to Michigan to join a group practice in Allegan.  In 1977 he and his wife, Marty, and their family moved to Dowagiac and took over Dr. McDonald's practice when he retired. Dr. Montgomery and his wife have three children and six grandchildren. He is proud to be a part of the Dowagiac community and looks forward to seeing you and your family in the practice soon!
